1. What is COOL! Remote Control?

COOL! Remote Control is an excellent remote computing system that is very easy to use. It can display remote a PC screen on your own PC IN REAL TIME and allow you to use a mouse or keyboard work on it. It means that you can work on an office PC from your own PC as if you were sitting in front of it! Also, you can transfer files from or to a remote PC, and shutdown, reboot, logoff or let it sleep.

2. How to install COOL! Remote Control?

COOL! Remote Control consists of two components: The first is the remote control server, and the second is Cool! Remote Control. The setup includes the above two components which means you must run setup.exe twice. The first time is for the remote PC, and the second time is for your own PC.

3. How can I use Cool! Remote Control?

Firstly, launch the remote control server on the remote PC.
Secondly, run COOL! Remote Control on your own PC.
Finally, click the "connect to..." menu and enter the remote PC's IP address in the connection dialog to connect to the remote computer.

4. I can't connect to the remote control server. What can I do?

Make sure the remote control server is running on a remote PC. Make sure the network does not have any problems (please refer to Q5). If you still have problems connecting, please send an e-mail to support@share2.com.

5. Why I got the "ERROR: Connection is forcefully rejected" or "Connection timed out" when try to connect?

In general, you should use PING.EXE (Windows includes this EXE file) to diagnose your network.
How to use PING.EXE?
1. Click the "START" button.
2. Click "Run".
3. Enter "ping -n 100 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", please note "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is IP address of remote PC.
4. Click the "OK" button. You will receive the following information:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pinging xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
.... ....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As an example, the above result, the time<10ms. If you received a result of "timeout" or time > 100, it means there is a problem with your network or you have poor performance. COOL! Remote Control can only work on a stable network.

6. How can I find the remote PC 's IP address?

Run the remote control server on a remote PC, and then click "My IP menu" and a dialog window will appear that tells you the IP address. But do not use IP address: "127.0.0.1" for connection, it's a local IP address.

7. How do I exit from "full screen control" rightly?

Use the ALT+TAB key to switch to the main interface in order to exit.

8. How can I increase the "full screen control" performance?

We recommend you using Windows95/98 or Windows ME to run remote control server. You will get a lower performance when using Windows2000/NT, because Windows2000/NT is base on Client/Server structure.
At the same time, Lower screen resolutions can also improve performance. Unless you are using a very fast network connection, we do not recommend using high resolutions. We also recommend that the screen color depth of the remote PC not be set very high as this can also have an effect on the performance of various video card adapters.

9. Why did I see a "blank" screen when I click "full screen control" menu?

A very small number of video adapters do not support COOL! Remote Control yet. Please e-mail to support@share2.com and write down which video adapter and what OS you use. We will fix it in future version as soon as we can.

10. How can I purchase COOL! Remote Control?

Click "BuyNow" button on main interface.

11. If I purchase this shareware, how much do future upgrades costs?

All upgrades are free for customers.

12. What ports does the Cool Remote Server use?

TCP Port: 11977
TCP Port: 11978
TCP Port: 11980
UDP Port: 61979

13. What is "Password", how can I set it?

Click the icon of the Cool Remote Server, click "Setting Password" in the menu, then input the password. If you set it, nobody can connect to a remote PC with COOL! Remote Control until they know the password. If you do not set it, just leave it blank.
