!!Quick Search is a powerful tools for internet information search. With it ,
you can search anything from many websites at the same time as you like.
It will give you a surprise for it powerful searching.
And you can change the search settings easily to make it fit for special search such as MP3 songs or
hollywood movies.
This product was tested on Windows 9x/NT/2000.
Ok, just try it.
How to use the popup menu
When you installed !!Quick Search 3.01 and run it. There's a icon in the system tasks tray. When you move your mouse point on it , it will show "!!Quick Search 3.01".
Ok,it's the product's icon. You will use it often late.
When you double click the !!Quick Search's icon with the left button of your mouse, a search window will show. With this window, you can search.
You can get help from Let's search something about how to search.
When you right click the !!Quick Search's icon, a popup menu will appear. Seven menu items on the menu, they are
Show Search,Hide Search,Clear Keywords,URLs manager,About,Help and Exit.
Show Search
When you select this item by mouse or shortcut key S,the main search window will show. You can begin you search on the main search window.
Hide Search
Sometimes, the main search window always show on the deaktop may boring, then you can hide the main search window , by select the hide search menu item on the popup menu.
If you need to show the search window late, you can select the Show Search menu item from the popup menu , the search window will show again with the last search result unchanged.
Note:
Hide Search menu item is not the same as the close button on the right-top corner of the window.
When you hide the window, the search result will keep unchanged,
it's just set the window invisible.
But if you close the window by the close button,
you will lose all the search results.
Clear Keywords
When you search on the search window, the keyword you input will be saved every time. The next time you use the !!Quick Search,
all the keywords will list on the list box. The keywords list will get longer and longer, if you think it's boring,
you can clear the keywords list by select the Clear Keywords menu item.
URLs Manager
URLs Manager can manager your URLs for search. When you select this menu item, the manager window will appear.
In this window you can add a new website's URL for late search , you can also delete a URL.
Help
When you select this menu item , you will see the help document you are reading now.
About
When you select this menu item , a about window about the !!Quick Search 3.01 will appear.
Exit
When you select this menu item , the application will quit, and the icon of this application will disapper.
Let's search something
If you have not run the software yet, run the software first. If the search window was hide then select Show Search menu item from the popup menu.
When the search window appears, there are some buttons and textboxes on the window. You can begin your search according to the follow steps:
1.Input a keyword or select a keyword from the keywords list;
2.If you like to change the search settings, click the button to set the advance search settings. You may skip the step , if you are first use the product.
3.Click the button and search will begin. If you have not input or selected a keyword, the search will abort and a warning box will pop out.
4.If all are ok, the search will begin, and wait a moment, the search results will show on the window. The velocity of the search delies on the rate of your internet.
There are some other buttons on the search window.
There are total 10 tab pages on the window, you can click to show every pages. On every page, there is a input list box which can input or select website address.
When you select or input a website address , it can navigate to the website page. It's a internet explorer.
On every page , there is a toolbar. Seven buttons on the toolbar, they are
Backward,Forward,Refresh,Stop,Add URL,Home and Print.
Backward
Click the Backward button, the page will navigate to the last page.When it get to the first page,
the button will disabled.
Forward
Click the Forward button, the page will navigate to the next page.When it get to the last page,
the button will disabled.
Refresh
Click the Refresh button to refresh current page.
Stop
Click the stop button to stop the download of the current page. If the download was completed , the button will disabled.
Add URL
Click the Add URL button to add the current URL to the URLs manager, the URLs manager will appear for you to add.
Home
Click the Home button to navigate to your homepage.
Print.
Click the Print button to print preview the current page. This may be support by Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or high version.
If you have not register the product, thare are button and button on the window.
When you register the product , the buttons will disappear automatically. About how to buy and register the product , please see how to buy.
You may click the button to buy this software.
If you have buy the software, you will get a register code, and you may click the button to register the software.
If you registered the software, you will be a valid user.
Advance search settings
If you click the button in the search window, the Advance search settings dialog will pop out.
In the dialog, you may select the class of your search type and you may select the website address which you want to make it search.
Note:
You must select at least 1 class and 1 website address(URL), or else the search can't go on.
Click Check All button to select all the class or the website address(URL) and click the Uncheck All button to unselect all the class or the website address(URL).
Click button to save the settings and exit the dialog.
Click button to cancel work and exit the dialog.
Click button to get the help document which you are reading now.
Note:
What you select in the classes list and URLs list should have the same class.
If the URL selected while it's class is not selected , the URL won't be used when searching.
If the class selected while no URL selected has the same class , the class selected is useless.
You can add your URLs and classes by URLs manager.
URLs manager
If you click the Add URL button on the search window, or click the URLs manager on the popup menu.
The URLs manager window will appear.
By URLs manager window , you can do :
Add a URL to the URLs list.
Delete a URL from the URLs list.
Save your changes.
If you want to add a URL to the URLs list , you should do as follows:
1.Enter a name of the URL (such as yahoo, google) to the Name textbox.
The name should not be too long . It should be control in 7 letters ,
or else it can't show all in the search window when searching;
2.Enter a class of the URL (such as website , music) to the class textbox;
3.Enter a URL in the URL textbox, and replace the keywords part with _QS_KeyWord.
For example, if you search mp3 on the yahoo . Yahoo shows the URL as follows:
http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=mp3
You just want to add this URL to your URLs list for late search.You enter yahoo (or other name as you like) in the name textbox.
You enter or select mp3 (or other class as you like) in the class textbox. Then you enter the
http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=mp3 in the URL textbox. After doing all this ,
you should replace the keyword mp3 with _QS_KeyWord.
You can use button to generate a _QS_KeyWord
string quickly.
If you want to use the button ,
doing as follows:
Delete the keyword mp3 from the URL
http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=mp3 in the URL text box.
Move the cursor after character '=' , and click the button.
The new URL will show as follows:
http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=_QS_KeyWord
About delete a URL from the URLs list. You just check the URLs which you want to delete ,
and click the button ,the URLs selected will be
deleted from the list .
You should click button to
save your changes after you add a URL to the URLs list or delete a URL from the URLs list, or else the changes will lost.
If you have changed the URLs list and haven't saved it ,
system will pop out a messgebox to tell you when you close the dialog.
If you have bought the product, you will get a register code like XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXX, X is a character from '0' to '9'.
Click the button in the search window , and a register dialog will pop out.
Enter the username and registercode by the dialog. Whether success or fail ,system will pop out a messagebox to tell you.
If registered successfully, the button and button on the search window will disappear.
